Who is behind Kinderwegweiser and why the directory exists.

Kinderwegweiser helps parents in Switzerland find suitable specialists for their children. We are starting in the canton of Aargau and will soon extend the directory to further cantons. Kinderwegweiser is run by Dr. med. Florian Winkler, specialist in paediatrics FMH.

Kinderwegweiser grew out of everyday practice. After an assessment, parents often know quite well what support their child needs. What remains unclear is where to find it. Many phone calls, refusals and long waiting lists follow, at a time that can already be hard on families.

Paediatricians, too, sometimes find it difficult to find suitable services. Who has places available right now? Who works with young children, who with teenagers? Questions like these take up a lot of time in everyday practice, time that should really belong to the children.

We want to make this path a little shorter. Kinderwegweiser shows clearly which specialists are nearby, what they offer and roughly how long the wait for an appointment is. That way families find the right help sooner, and specialists are found by the people who really need them.

The directory is free for parents. The website is financed by voluntary listings from specialists. We receive no payment for referrals.
